The rain was lashing down when I arrived in Melrose on the morning of Megan and Henry’s wedding. While I was walking around the grounds of Harmony House, in my wellies, I was briefly wondering whether we would actually be able to have the outdoor ceremony that Megan had dreamed of, never mind go to the places we had planned for their photos. Briefly. Because this is Scotland. And the rain stopped in time for their outdoor ceremony, and we had brilliant sunshine for the rest of the day. Harmony House was the perfect choice for Megan and Henry’s intimate wedding. They had invited close family and friends only, many of them stayed with them at Harmony House. I loved the relaxed atmosphere, and of course, all the thought that Megan had put into the styling of the wedding. Wow! Everything was so pretty. I loved the pastel colours and windmills!
After their ceremony, we walked across to Melrose Abbey for some photos. Megan and Henry had also scouted a cornfield and country lane nearby for some photos. I won’t lie, I felt a bit like in a candy store.
Their day ended in Melrose town, where I left them enjoying their wedding meal.
