Jillian & Michael's Autumn Chatelherault Wedding, Hamilton

I got in touch with Jillian and Michael through their friends Gail and Mike, whose wedding I photographed back in June - so I already knew this was going to be a fab wedding, even before I met Jillian at her Dad's house to discuss their big day. Being a teacher, Jillian didn't disappoint with her organisational skills. There was a list of group photos all ready for me, the spreadsheet featuring a column where you can tick off if a group photo has been done - and my suggestion of colour coding was greeted with the offer of coloured pens. Like long lost twins :) I spent the morning with the girls getting ready at Jillian's Dad house in Blantyre. And sampled, yet again, true Scottish hospitality, as I munched my way through two bacon butties. After taking a few shots of the gorgeous Jillian, I went over to Chatelherault to meet Michael. The ceremony made it clear that this was a wedding like no other, as, instead of a ring, Michael had chosen some new skiing boots. And then, while it had been raining all morning, the sun came out for good during Jillian and Michael's portrait session.

Their reception took place in the Parkville in Blantyre (where again, unconventionally, only the Best Man said a few words before the meal). There was a sweetie table with old fashioned sweets - brilliant idea and the kids loved it!

Jillian & Michael... thanks again for a super day. You make a fantastic couple!
